American Literature - Fall 2018

Rather than exploring ideas in a journal, students are expected to contribute to the online discussion group (Blogger). Every week there will be one-two designated blog writers who are expected to write between two and three paragraphs, analyzing the text(s) of the week, asking the class discussion questions, posting relevant pictures, links, videos, etc. The blog writer(s) of the week must post the Monday before class. Everyone else in class must respond to the blog writer(s) (if there are two main posts that week, you must respond to at least one), by Thursday morning by noon. Responders must post thoughtful and insightful reactions to the post (1 sentence is not acceptable). At the conclusion of the reaction/response, responders must ask the class another question about the text(s).
